Plato DVD to AVI Converter is a DVD ripper for Windows. This allows you to copy DVD movies and save them to AVI files. The application comes with four different conversion profiles, one standard MPEG-4 AVI video profiles and profiles AVI to Blackberry phones, Creative Zen player, and Pocket PC platforms.

Output Windows settings appear when you open the DVD movie and here you can select the conversion profile and change its settings. You can change the resolution, video bitrate (quality), video frame rate and aspect, and some audio settings.

You will notice that the movie DVD will start playing immediately after you click "OK" on the window asking you for the conversion settings. Click on "Start" to begin the playback / recording.
